A one-off build of the Yuna Hard 2 with an extra long flipper. This is the only one of his older washer knives that I can say flips and flips well. Yun of Yuna Knives is one of the few makers who still 100% make their knives by hand.

He uses only basic hand tools, no smart machinery. Each custom from his one-man shop in Thailand is slightly different from the next and he makes very few knives a year compared to most makers. His Hard series handles like hyper-functional Striders. It has that edge he's famous for. Yun heat treats his steels towards the upper end of their range for max edge retention and then uses difficult geometry and finish work to retain toughness.

It's the same philosophy Rockstead uses on their knives. Yunas cut like thinner-behind-the-edge Rocksteads. I consider Yun's edges to be the best in the industry. Yuna Qi 4.1 Type S, Strider Knives SMF, and Hinderer XM-18 3.5 shown for size comparison only. 3 5/8" blade 8 7/8" overall.
