This special edition, archived William Henry knife is a B09 (Kestrel) that's called the VALENCIA and it was completed on November 1, 2007. The Valencia is 20th in a set of only 50. Only 49 others that are even remotely similar to it in the world.

The hand-carved frame boasts sterling silver with pleasing cut-in gold bezels that haves ingrained a coloured sapphire (red). Among this is the uniquely presented citrine gemstones placed as the button and thumb lock.

The Damascus blade is William Henry's always fashionable " Wave ". The swerves of the waves, followed by the mixture of floral-looking silver patterns perfectly compliments the prehistoric fossilized mammoth scales.

It almost appears to have the theme of Nature: the waves of the sea, the trees of the land, and the creatures that walk atop it. Even within its own series, no two of these are exactly alike. Running a finger across the scales of a pocket knife that was also apart of a massive, extinct mammal is humbling. Roughly 6k-10k years of history now could fit in a denim pocket. To make a full circle in theme back to the sea is the Valencia's original black shark-skin clipcase.

This particular knife will come with its original Valencia wooden box. Check the pictures and you can see the engravings atop the box. Not many of my archived/retired knives come with their engraved boxes. That goes for most resold William Henrys or this age.

Unfortunately, it has been been damaged from deterioration over the years. The original wooden box is married to this knife. There is only the original leather insert tray (one) between them but then you, the collector, can choose which box to display/keep it in. You will be getting : the original Valencia box, the knife, the original exterior box for the wooden box, the COA, the black shark-skin clip case, the original leather insert tray, the WH mini CD, and a newer black wooden box.

Please, refer to the COA for referencing specifically about the scales and other details regarding the VALENCIA. The black shark-skin case and knife have never been carried or sharpened.

It is in pristine condition as well. The COA, as shown in the picture, has a bit of weathering and natural flaking from the box. Please, do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
