Vtg JEFF MORGAN 2015 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BLADES CUSTOM FLIPPER POCKET KNIFE RARE

Custom knife making is an art, and over the last 40 years, Jeff Morgan of San Diego, California has crafted many elegant pieces through long hours on the bench. Jeff originally focused on high end show knives before shifting to everyday carry outdoorsman's knives with an "old west" flair.

In 2015, Jeff Morgan crafted some striking pocket knives for the Southern California Blades knife collector's association, which featured a unique bottle opener flipper system. This Vintage JEFF MORGAN 2015 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BLADES CUSTOM FLIPPER POCKET KNIFE is in excellent condition, with a bit of spot darkening at the left handle scale, and with some light scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured).

Otherwise, the knife is in excellent shape, with no other damage. Most interestingly, it features an elegant bright finished 3 drop point blade, sports striking bright blue. Micarta handle scales secured by a pair of hammered brass pins at each side, and boasts a fully functional, unique bottle opener flipper system, and the entire mechanism is based on friction. It's artfully marked at the middle left side of the blade with a scroll design logo of "Southern California Blades", surmounted by the date, "2015", deeply stamped at the lower left side of the blade with the classic intertwined "JM" logo initials of its maker, Jeff Morgan of San Diego, and marked at the upper left side of the opener with the alphanumeric serial number, "SCB 038", likely denoting the 38th knife of this 2015 Southern California Blades series. A beautiful example of a very rare, original.
