Strider SMF Chevron, aluminum scale. I bought this knife new. When it arrived I was at work. My son opened the knife and headed to the backyard.

Regardless, he dropped the knife on his way out the door, chipping the tip and nicking the scale. At this point, he panicked, put the knife back in the box and taped it up hoping I wouldn't notice. So, after having a talk with my son about NOT TOUCHING DAD'S THINGS, I reached out to Strider and sent the knife in to them. Mick's wife, Marisa, handled the entire issue beautifully. I got it back with a completely new blade in CTS-XHP.

Since receiving it back it has cut nothing. It also has not been carried. It still has the nick in the frame (I've included a picture). It is smooth in action and locks up early. It's a beautiful SMF and maybe one of a kind with the CTS-XHP blade?

I really don't know. Bottom line, it's a very nice knife. The discoloration on the blade is because I had just oiled it. It is not stained, or striped it anything else.
