Chaves Knives Ultramar 229 - Drop Point Blade w Belt Satin Grind. (Custom Modded with Punisher Skull on handle by Andrew at FanaticEdge). The Ultramar 229 is the follow-up to the Chaves Ultramar Redencion Street. The 229 is slightly larger than the Ultramar Redencion and sized more similarly to Ramon's mid-tech CAMK 228 and his full custom knives. The Chaves Ultramar 229 offers the solid production quality of Reate Knives and the distinctive overbuilt design style Ramon is known for.

It showcases clean titanium construction and a belt satin grind drop point blade. This Chaves Ultramar 229 has been custom modified by Andrew at Fanatic Edge with a'Punisher' logo expertly and professionally laser engraved into the blasted titanium handle. Other than that, this knife is 100% stock from the Reate Factory and Ramon Chavez/Chaves Knives.

Features of the Chaves Ultramar 229. Drop Point, belt satin finished Bohler M390 blade steel offers the ultimate in toughness and edge retention. Deep-notched thumb rest jimping provides an additional level of grip security and blade control.

Durable titanium frame lock handle with a steel lockbar insert for secure blade lock up. Overall Length:8.22" - Blade Length:3.63" - Cutting Edge:3.25" - Blade Width:1.25". Blade Details: Bohler M390 Drop Point w Compound Grind and belt satin finish.

The end result is an Ultramar 229 that would easily be mistaken for a 228 mid-tech or Chaves Custom, looks and feels like a dead ringer for a 228! This is a pre-owned Knife in brand new condition. I took this knife in trade towards a watch from a collector who rarely if ever carried or used this knife. I don't beleive the original owner ever carried or used this knife.

There are no signs of occassional or even 1x carry or use anywere on this knife. Knife comes with original Chaves Ultramar 2-Piece foam fitted 2-piece presentation box set. There is an original Chaves sticker on one side showing this knife began life as an'Ultramar 229 Drop Point Belt Satin. I will also include an original Chaves Microfiber hankie (brand new and sealed) with this knife. I've traveled the world and haven't carried a wallet since 2015 thanks to this amazing, handy and awesome rubber wallet.
