First it has some of my best Damascus pieces. When I accordian a Damascus billit you cut out little triangles from the mosaic bar. I've been saving these to use for this stye Damascus, this is then put in a can that I build and forge it out again, which I call my Art Deco Damascus. All steel was normalized to reduce grain structure.

Then the arabesque style engraving is added with 24kt gold inlays. Wider strait lines are easy, all of these are the skinny flowing lines are harder, so more of the Damascus will show.

This is so the engraving will compliment the Damascus. The arabesque leavers were resisted (not etched) , then shaded single point banknote style. Shadowing was added to enhance the leaves. Which gives it the most life. You can find cheaper all Damascus knives with engraving, but what makes mine more expensive is the quality that I take each step, Damascus knife then engraving. I do not believe you can find the same quality of sole authorship in any other knife. When people get one of my knives it is usually because of the quality. It has been dipped in hot wax that retards the rusting process, all anyone has to do is add a lite resistance wax to the outside every once and a while.
