Michael Morris Handmade Sheepsfoot Friction Folder. All Morris knives are handmade, functional pieces of art.
I recommend potential buyers watch their videos and check the website. I carried this knife for about a week total. I believe knives like this are beautiful art, but are meant to be used.I've pre-used this one, so it can no longer be a safe-queen. My hope is that someone is looking for a strong, functional, beautiful knife to add to their working EDC. What I liked most about this knife was the sturdy, thick blade. The Micarta handle is strong yet thin. When open for use, the bottle opener tang provides additional strength and stability that can be felt.
When the connection between the handle and the blade is weak. The surface-to-surface contact and/or the tightness of the pin.
A knife can feel weak or wobbly. But this knife feels as sturdy as a fixed blade due to the tight construction as well as the additional surface-to-surface connection provided by the tang. 3/16 thick blade at spine.
Blade edge type is a flat saber grind. Blade signed and dated: "MORRIS 031016". Finishing date March 10, 2016. Blade made from Farriers rasp (horse hoof rasp).
