The 2 greatest collaborators in the knife world have worked together a few times over the years on small runs of models. The Paris/Texas was the first collab, named after the cities both makers live in. It has a mix of classic Tashi design and the more slimmed, function-first lines of a Lee Williams. It also has a modified version of Lee's Kickstop Flipper where the tab is in the top corner like a Tashi On Kickstop knives, flipper tab is separate from the blade and is both the open and closed stop pin for the knife. The vast majority of them have been on bearings.
The action is unlike anything else. It's the strongest-firing washer flipper I've handled and the Kickstop allowed that to be done comfortably. Fit and finish is perfect. Blade has a flawless two-tone hand satin. The frame has a deep top chamfer that matches up with the swedge on the blade. The frame is fully contoured from there downwards. Carbon fiber scales are entirely void-free and polished to show both the main checkerboard pattern and the end-cut black wood pattern on the chamfer.Bolsters are a reflective brushed satin. Clip is blackened and orange-peeled ti. Liners are polished on the interior and have satin edges.
