The Cruz is a custom, hand made knife from South African maker JD van Deventer. It has been lightly carried and rarely used. The fit and finish is first rate and the knife is packed with custom details so here goes. It features an M390 blade with near mirror polished flats and hand rubbed satin bevels.

The edge has been professionally sharpened to a mirror finish by Rob Bixby of TheApostleP knife service. The handle has 3D contoured blue lightning strike carbon fiber scales over bronze anodized titanium liners. The bolsters are blued zirconium with a polished top surface and a cracked ice finish on the lower bevels. The liners and titanium backspacer both feature hand file work on the spine of the handle.

The backspacer has a beautifully done 2 tone blue finish on the spine and a cracked ice/multi-color anodization on the blade well side (can be seen in the lock up and centering pics). The interior of the liners have also been hand jeweled. The 3D machined pocket clip is made out of polished zirconium.

It is well designed and will accommodate thick or thin pants. The flipping action is outstanding with a bit of milling on the flipper tab for extra grip.

The closing action is butter smooth with an IKBS bearing pivot system. Lock bar engagement is excellent at about 50% and there is zero blade play in any direction. There are a couple of minor scuffs on the zirconium bolsters. I made sure these showed up in the pics under bright sunlight but in person they are much more difficult to see. Otherwise the knife is in like new condition.

Includes original pouch and certificate of authenticity. The certificate is a bit rough around the edges but was originally delivered this way and is still perfectly legible. Although this one is hard to part with, I'm trying to downsize my collection to make it more manageable and hope to find a good home for this knife. Specifications (from my own measurements).
