The knife is in remarkable shape still retaining the original edge Maciej ground at his shop in Utah. The knife does have minor "snail trails" visible when held against the light right, these from light carry and can be seen in photos. The knife is very stiff, still really not broken in yet and needs to be opened a few hundred times to loosen up or "break in".

The blade has a solid lock up and no blade play at all; no lock rock or lash to speak of. This thing is beckoning to be used hard and can pretty much withstand whatever you might throw at it.

"Overbuilt" and "Tank" are often adjectives utilized when Crusader Forge is mentioned and when you hold one of Maciej's knives it's pretty clear why this is. Overall Length - 8 3/4.

KG Gun Kote was developed for use on military weapons. The United States Navy Seal Teams were the first units to use this product. There was a need for a material that would hold up under extreme adverse conditions.

The coating needed to withstand 500-hour salt spray tests and still meet the military machine gun firing requirements.. Gun Kote will withstand a minimum of 500-hour salt spray tests at 5% salt, however, tests performed for Armscor by the South African Navel Logistics Dept. Showed Gun Kote withstanding an equivalent of a 7-year exposure.

Tests were performed on Aluminum in a salt spray chamber with 50/50 on/off time at 35 degrees C. Resistant to chemicals, oils and solvents common to Automotive and Aircraft Industries. Helps to cool parts by dissipating heat.

Gun Kote will withstand temperatures over 500 degrees F and as low as -320 degrees F. Now back to my ramblings.
