It has been carried and used in a manner that you would reasonably expect a knife to be used. There are some light "snail trail" marks on both sides of the blade and on the Titanium lock side of the handle, but they are superficial- no deep scratches. It has never been sharpened and the original edge remains sharp. The action on this knife is excellent and it locks up early and securely with no play. The presentation side is Carbon Fiber and the lock side is Titanium.
