The model number is 972. This is a rare Puma Game Warden knife. The knife is over 30 years old. This is a chance to own a great piece of Puma cutlery history. This knife measures 8 5/8" overall with a 3 7/8" blade.

The front of the hunting blade is etched: 972 - PUMA - GAME - WARDEN - NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL - HANDMADE GERMANY. This fine German hunting knife also has the factory Rockwell sticker. The knife features a Puma Germany Jacaranda Wood handle with three brass rivets. The handles are gorgeous with a lot of character to the grain. It is a gorgeous and is a Puma knife. The Puma knife comes with the factory papers and the Puma yellow / green plastic case. This Puma knife was hand made in Solingen Germany in 1985. It is truly a rare Puma knife that were made to the the highest quality in Solingen Germany. Note: The Puma plaque does not come with the knife. On May 26th the name "PUMA-Werk, Lauterjung und Sohn" is written down on the Solingen register of companies.
