THis knife is brand new, never carried or used. Removed from factory packaging for pictures only. The Chaves Ultramar (Spanish for Overseas) is the first run of production knives by renown custom knifemaker Ramon Chavez. Having a production knife let many people who could not otherwise get a Chaves, get a Chaves.

That being said, when a custom maker sets out to produce a production knife, there will be shortages. In this case, his availability went from totally impossible to nearly impossible. The knife here is part of the Ultramar Liberation Street collection, and features a 4.25 inch, 6Al-4V (aka Grade 5) titanium handle with a OD green micarta canvas "show side". The work side, with frame lock, is also in titanium and features a matte finish. The work side also has the signature Chaves Skull Clip that lets the world know you are carrying one of the best in the business.

The handle also is shaped to squared off end, which allows for a full sized insert (no angular cutting) in the handle. Speaking on the blade, it 3.375 inches and is a Drop Point, which is the most popular blade shape for everyday carry.

It is made from CPM's superb S35VN blade steel, and has a PVD finish. The blade also has a flipper tab for quick manual deployment. This knife tips the scales at 4.61 ounces, so it is completely pocketable and easy to carry all day. Contact me with any questions.
